💨 Abstract

A 28-year-old woman, Tiffany Slaton, survived weeks in California's Sierra Nevada after a camping trip went wrong. She endured harsh winter conditions, losing her gear in an avalanche and relying on foraging and melted snow for sustenance. She managed to travel over 20 miles to a cabin, where the owner discovered her. Authorities were astonished by her survival skills. Slaton's athleticism and foraging knowledge were key to her endurance.
