đź’¨ Abstract
The article discusses the severe impact of climate change on agriculture in Nigeria, particularly in the northern regions. Farmers like Umaru Muazu are struggling due to prolonged dry spells, excessive heat, and drying water bodies, which are making it difficult to cultivate crops. This crisis is worsening food insecurity, affecting about 31 million people, and driving up food prices in southern cities like Lagos. Despite government efforts to promote climate-smart agriculture and activate underused farmland, challenges persist.
