Former Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba, ousted in a 2023 coup, has left Gabon with his family for Angola. The move follows an agreement brokered by Angolan President Joao Lourenco and Gabon's new leader, Gen. Brice Oligui Nguema. Bongo had been under house arrest while his wife and son faced detention on corruption charges.
