💨 Abstract
On May 20, 2025, U.S. Air Force veteran Joseph St. Clair, detained in Venezuela since November, was released. Clair, who sought PTSD treatment, was handed over to U.S. envoy Richard Grenell. His parents expressed joy and gratitude. Six other Americans detained in Venezuela were freed earlier after Grenell's meeting with President Nicolás Maduro, who also agreed to take back deported migrants.
