💨 Abstract

A state of emergency was declared in Manitoba, Canada, due to nearly two dozen active wildfires. Approximately 17,000 residents, including 5,000 from Flin Flon, have been evacuated with more evacuations expected. Wind changes and power outages have exacerbated the situation, with smoke reaching the U.S. and multiple communities affected. Evacuation centers have opened, and regional areas are also affected by fires.
