💨 Abstract
A hot air balloon crashed in central Turkey on June 15, 2025, killing the pilot and injuring 19 Indonesian tourists. The balloon was attempting a hard landing due to sudden wind changes near Gozlukuyu, Aksaray province. Another balloon from the same location also had a hard landing, injuring 12 Indian tourists. The popular balloon rides offer views of UNESCO World Heritage sites, including "fairy chimneys." Investigations are ongoing.
