💨 Abstract

Two people were killed after an attempted explosive attack near a Catholic shrine in Kampala, Uganda. Security forces intercepted and neutralized a man and a woman on a motorcycle, with the woman reportedly exploding as authorities approached. The incident occurred during Uganda's holiday commemorating Christian martyrs, with dignitaries, including President Museveni, gathered nearby. Explosive attacks are uncommon in Uganda, but the government occasionally warns of threats from extremist groups.
