💨 Abstract
Armenia has arrested Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan on charges of plotting against the government, following the arrest of another prominent cleric, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. Both are accused of advocating for the overthrow of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The arrests come amid ongoing tensions over territorial concessions to Azerbaijan and a deteriorating relationship between the government and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
