A man, Marcus Arduini Monzo, was convicted of murder and attempted murder in London. In April 2024, he attacked multiple people with a samurai sword, killing 14-year-old Daniel Anjoran. The 20-minute rampage in London's Hainault area began when he struck a pedestrian with his van and then attacked others, including police officers. Monzo, with dual Spanish and Brazilian citizenship, admitted to carrying the swords but denied other charges.
