💨 Abstract
Colombia's wind energy development faces significant challenges, especially in the La Guajira region. Despite ambitious targets, only two small wind farms are operational, totaling less than 32 megawatts. Major companies have withdrawn from projects due to limited grid infrastructure, regulatory changes, and social issues. The country, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, struggles to move away from fossil fuels.
