💨 Abstract
Flash floods in northwest Pakistan, sparked by pre-monsoon rains, have resulted in at least seven deaths and dozens of missing tourists. The nationwide death toll from rain-related incidents climbed to 17 in the past 24 hours. Rescue efforts are ongoing for missing tourists swept away while picnicking along the Swat River. The government has urged the public to heed warnings about potential flooding, with rains expected to continue.
