💨 Abstract
A Japanese court overturned a previous ruling, stating that former executives of the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) are not liable for the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster. The Tokyo High Court decided that the executives did not fail to take necessary safety precautions despite knowing the risks of a major tsunami. The 2011 tsunami caused significant damage, leading to the meltdown of three reactors and widespread radiation.
