💨 Abstract
Wander Franco, the suspended Tampa Bay Rays shortstop, was convicted in a sexual abuse case involving a 14-year-old girl. He was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence. Franco was accused of a four-month relationship with the minor and transferring money to her mother. Prosecutors sought a five-year prison term for Franco. The girl’s mother, who was also found guilty, will serve a 10-year sentence.
