💨 Abstract
On June 27, 2025, clashes occurred in Lomé, Togo, between protesters and security forces over constitutional reforms that could extend President Faure Gnassingbé's rule. Security forces used tear gas, batons, and reportedly entered homes, assaulting residents. Protests, unusual since 2022, were sparked by government structural changes.
