💨 Abstract
This article discusses the Wagner Group's withdrawal from Mali after a three year presence. The group has been fighting Islamic extremists, Russia's announced withdrawal looks to replace Wagner's presence with Africa Corps, another Russian mercenary group. Wagner's departure also comes after heavy losses, which could lead towards a shift in strategy for the Russia military presence in the country.
