💨 Abstract
In northeastern Zimbabwe, a head-on collision between a minibus taxi and a haulage truck resulted in the deaths of 17 people, including pedestrians, near Chitungwiza. The truck driver lost control, veering into the opposite lane. The minibus was severely damaged, and rescuers worked for hours to retrieve the victims. This tragic incident highlights the common occurrence of deadly road accidents in Zimbabwe, exacerbated by speeding and poorly maintained roads.
