💨 Abstract
In Albania, an 80-year-old former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha is on trial for corruption charges involving his alleged misuse of power to aid his son-in-law's land privatization scheme. The trial, held in the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime, also involves Berisha's son-in-law and three other individuals. Berisha has dismissed the charges as politically motivated. He was previously barred from entering the U.S. and the U.K. due to corruption allegations.
