💨 Abstract
A sudden blackout on July 4, 2025, in parts of Prague and other regions of the Czech Republic disrupted transport services. Prague’s entire subway network and some trams were halted, but services were partially restored within 30 minutes. Affected areas included the northern and eastern parts of the country, although Václav Havel Airport was reportedly unaffected. The cause of the outage remained unknown, with officials excluding a cyberattack.
