💨 Abstract
Authorities in the Dominican Republic intercepted a boat after a 12-hour chase, discovering 1½ tons of cocaine, one of the largest seizures in the country's history. The operation involved helicopters, boats, and cars, resulting in the arrest of three Dominicans and one Colombian. The drugs and various items were seized. Last year, the Dominican Republic intercepted over 46 tons of drugs, with a record 9½ tons seized in December.
