💨 Abstract
In Southern Israel, Bedouin families, lacking state-provided shelters, dig out makeshift shelters using old vehicles and debris. The threat from missiles intensified during the October 2023 war and the Iranian conflicts. The community, plagued by poverty and a lack of state recognition, struggles to find protection. Israel has provided some mobile shelters but faces criticism for not granting permits.
