💨 Abstract
Rescuers, including local mountaineers, are racing against time to reach injured German Olympic gold medalist Laura Dahlmeier, stranded on Pakistan's Laila Peak since Monday. Dahlmeier, 31, was climbing Laila Peak when she was struck by falling rocks, suffering serious injuries. Rescuers face bad weather and low visibility, hampering helicopter deployment. Dahlmeier, who has oxygen, is at an altitude of about 5,700 meters.
