💨 Abstract
Turkey sent aircraft and vehicles to assist Syria in battling wildfires, while domestic firefighters tackled blazes at home. One person died in western Turkey, where faulty power lines are blamed for most fires. About 920 homes were evacuated in Hatay province due to rapid fire spread. The fires, exacerbated by high temperatures and strong winds, have affected Turkey, Greece, and Syria, causing evacuations and property damage.
