💨 Abstract

The U.S. will partner with Chile to deploy biometric technologies to control migration and disrupt criminal networks. This agreement allows Chile to share biometric data with the U.S. to track and prevent dangerous individuals’ travel. The move targets groups like Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang active in Chile and the U.S., known for smuggling, prostitution, drug trafficking, and violent crimes. The FBI and Chile recently collaborated in disrupting transnational crime networks.
