💨 Abstract
Erik Prince's security firm, Vectus Global, will send nearly 200 personnel to Haiti for a year to combat gang violence. The move aims to help Haiti's government reclaim territories seized by armed gangs. Vectus Global will also advise on restoring revenue collection. The U.S. government is not involved in this contract. The deployment follows the appointment of André Jonas Vladimir Paraison as Haiti's new police director general and addresses the shortages and funding issues faced by the U.N.-
