💨 Abstract

Former Chadian Prime Minister and opposition leader Success Masra was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges including incitement to hatred and complicity to murder related to a deadly clash between herders and farmers in May. Masra and 67 co-defendants were accused of causing the conflict, which left 35 dead. Masra, who leads the Les Transformateurs party, has been critical of President Mahamat Déby.
