💨 Abstract

President Prabowo Subianto marked Indonesia's 80th independence anniversary by pledging to eradicate corruption and dismantle food cartels costing the state billions annually. He also promised stricter enforcement against illegal mines and agricultural manipulators. Since taking office, his administration has recovered $18.5 billion lost to corruption and removed illegal control of 3.1 million hectares of palm oil plantations.
