💨 Abstract
Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun reiterated the country's rejection of foreign intervention and desire for stability during a meeting with Iran's top security official, Ali Larijani. Larijani's visit follows Lebanon's approval of a U.S.-backed plan to disarm Hezbollah and implement a ceasefire with Israel, which Iran and Hezbollah strongly oppose. Iran accused the U.S. of interfering while emphasizing its support for Lebanon's "resistance."
