đź’¨ Abstract
Pakistan has not issued any warnings for mountaineering despite recent fatalities. Chinese climber Guan Jing and German climber Laura Dahlmeier died recently while attempting K2 and Laila Peak respectively. The Pakistani authorities stated climbers are aware of the risks and the activity is crucial to the local economy. Offering improved infrastructure and rescue facilities, they aim to maintain the safety and prosperity of mountaineering expeditions. Accidents due to harsh weather and landslides are frequent.
