💨 Abstract
On the 80th anniversary of the Nagasaki atomic bombing, The Associated Press republished photos of survivor Sumiteru Taniguchi, who had died in 2017. Taniguchi, 16 at the time of the bombing, bore lifelong scars from the blast. He used these scars as a testament to the horrors of nuclear warfare, advocating against nuclear weapons.
