💨 Abstract
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will visit Washington to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Aug. 25 to discuss trade and defense. Prior agreements include reduced tariffs on South Korean cars and Seoul's commitment to buy U.S. energy and invest in America. Concerns in Seoul revolve around potential increases in South Korea's contribution to U.S. troop costs and the restructure of the alliance to counter North Korea and China.
