💨 Abstract
On August 12, 2025, Thailand's army warned of potential self-defense actions due to recurring incidents near the Cambodia border, where Thai soldiers have been injured by land mines. The latest incident wounded a Thai sergeant, marking the fourth such event in a month, despite a July 29 ceasefire. Thailand accuses Cambodia of violating the agreement, claiming that Cambodia planted the mines. However, Cambodia denies these allegations, asserting compliance with international law and the Ottawa Convention.
