💨 Abstract
France's counterespionage agency is probing a suspected cyberattack on an international ferry. A Latvian crew member is in custody, accused of acting for an unidentified foreign power, with Russia suspected. The ferry, docked in Sète, may have been targeted with RAT software, allowing remote control of its systems. Two crew members were arrested, with the Latvian facing charges. The ferry has resumed operations after security checks.
