💨 Abstract

Tropical Storm Bárbara formed off Mexico's southwestern coast Sunday morning. With 60 mph sustained winds and located 170 miles southwest of Zihuatanejo, Mexico, it's the second storm to form in the Pacific after Alvin degraded. Strong rains (2-6 inches) are expected in Guerrero, Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco, potentially causing floods and landslides. Dangerous surf conditions and high waves are anticipated.
