💨 Abstract
A rumour circulated that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was considering a reality show where immigrants compete for U.S. citizenship. The proposal, supposedly backed by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, was denied by the DHS, which receives numerous TV show pitches annually. The idea, attributed to producer Rob Worsoff, involved 12 immigrants traveling by train through the U.S. and competing to learn about American history, with the winner potentially gaining citizenship.
