💨 Abstract
Less than 12 hours after the Trump administration reportedly replaced the chief of police of Washington D.C. with a federal agent, D.C. filed a federal lawsuit to block the move. District of Columbia’s Attorney General, Brian Schwalb, sued the federal government. He alleged Trump overstepped bounds by exceeding the authority granted under the D.C. Home Rule Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the U.S. Constitution.
