💨 Abstract
The owner of a famous nightclub in the Dominican Republic, where the roof collapsed in April killing 236 people, was arrested along with his sister. Antonio Espaillat and Maribel Espaillat showed "great irresponsibility and negligence" for not preventing the collapse. The investigation is ongoing. Rescue teams worked non-stop for 53 hours, saving 189 survivors. Notable victims included singer Rubby Pérez and Governor Nelsy Cruz.
