💨 Abstract

At least 17 people died, and several were injured in a fire near Charminar in Hyderabad, India. The incident was caused by a short circuit in a three-story building with a jewelry store on the ground floor and residential spaces above. The fire trapped residents due to narrow stairs and a single blocked exit. Authorities controlled the fire, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered financial compensation to the victims' families.
