💨 Abstract

The Department of Health in DC confirmed a measles case in an international traveler who recently arrived. The patient may have exposed others between June 8 and 12. The department is contacting individuals who might have been in areas of potential exposure. Measles is highly contagious and spreads through the air. Symptoms develop in two stages: initial fever, nasal discharge, red eyes, and cough, followed by a distinctive rash.
