💨 Abstract
The UK Government has ordered additional mpox vaccinations to strengthen the population's resilience against the deadly virus, despite no reported cases of the more severe Clade I mpox in the country. Clade I mpox, which has been causing outbreaks in Africa and was recently confirmed in Sweden, is considered more severe than Clade II, which was responsible for the global outbreak in 2022.
