💨 Abstract

During World War II, 18-year-old Connie joined the Women's Land Army (WLA) to help keep Britain alive amidst food scarcity. After a year, she was still working long hours in all weathers, but proud of her contribution. The Land Girls, who received 'special rations', worked hard to increase agricultural production, with many having little to no training.
