💨 Abstract
Israeli broadcaster Kan filed a police complaint after a man made a throat-slitting gesture towards their Eurovision 2025 representative, Yuval Raphael, during the opening ceremony. The gesture, made while the man held a Palestinian flag, led Kan to contact the Swiss police and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) for the individual's removal. Raphael opted out of media interviews due to security concerns.
