💨 Abstract
An analysis by Action on Salt revealed that over half of UK ready meals are excessively high in salt. Iceland was noted as the worst performer, with 84% of its meals high in salt. The saltiest meal overall was Royal's Cottage Pie, containing 6.12g of salt per serving, exceeding the recommended daily limit. Other major supermarkets like Aldi, Lidl, Marks & Spencer, and Sainsbury’s also had high percentages of salty meals.
