đ¨ Abstract
The chief executive of Thames Water, Chris Weston, has warned that water restrictions might be necessary this summer due to potential drought conditions. The Environment Agency (EA) reports that England has experienced its driest start to spring in 69 years, raising concerns about water shortages. While there are currently no drought conditions, the EA warns of a medium risk if rainfall does not improve. Weston assures that Thames Water is prepared, having learned from past close calls.
