💨 Abstract
A family's holiday to Mallorca was nearly ruined due to a little-known Brexit passport rule. The author's passport, though not expired, did not meet the new EU travel requirements, which mandate at least three months of validity beyond the travel date and issuance within the last decade. Despite the airline's lack of responsibility, the author managed to obtain a new passport and rebook her flight, incurring extra costs and losing time from her holiday.
