💨 Abstract

An 88-year-old woman in Pilsen, Czech Republic, was nearly buried alive after being mistakenly declared dead by a coroner. Her husband found her unresponsive and called emergency services. Undertakers discovered she was alive when she began breathing inside the coffin. The incident is under police investigation, and the coroner's office apologized, noting similar past incidents. This is not the first time someone has been mistakenly declared dead; similar cases have occurred in India and Kenya.
