💨 Abstract
The UK government has announced that all new build homes will be required to have solar panels, aiming to reduce energy bills and tackle the cost of living. This change, part of the upcoming Future Homes Standard, could save new homeowners around £530 annually. Additionally, new homes will feature low-carbon heating systems like heat pumps and high energy efficiency standards. The government also plans to simplify the installation of heat pumps and electric vehicles (EVs) through streamlined planning regulations.
