💨 Abstract
TikTok users are pranking London commuters by mimicking Apple Pay transactions, leaving victims confused and distressed. The prank involves playing the Apple Pay sound near someone's phone and saying "thank you." One incident escalated when a tourist restrained the prankster, leading to police intervention. Despite causing no financial harm, the prank can be emotionally distressing. Apple Pay requires authorization and a terminal, so such transactions are impossible.
