💨 Abstract
A chatty cabin initiative allows strangers to talk in a cable car over the River Thames, aiming to combat loneliness in London. Passengers on one trip, including those who booked for personal challenges or memories, found the experience rewarding despite initial anxieties. The closed environment of the cable car facilitated the interactions, which wouldn't be practical on the Tube. The initiative is part of Loneliness Awareness Week and has resonated with diverse participants.
