šØ Abstract
A school in East Renfrewshire apologized after a letter suggesting the Union flag could be seen as 'sectarian' upset a local politician. The headteacher, Fiona McDonald, acknowledged that the flag's use caused issues and the school promotes inclusion. However, Jackson Carlaw, a Tory MSP, criticized the school's stance, stating that equating the Union flag with sectarianism is offensive.
