💨 Abstract
Amanda, a transgender woman from Uganda, shares her journey of self-discovery and resilience. As a child, she loved fashion and beauty but faced discrimination and legal limbo due to her identity. She created a fake social media profile to connect with the LGBTQ+ community and moved to the UK in 2021 to study. In the UK, Amanda found freedom to express herself, changed her gender marker on legal documents, and participated in her first Pride parade.
